About the Artist
Kristen Memoli is a multidisciplinary creator based in Huntington, combining photography, writing, assemblage, and oddities to craft art that balances darkness and hope. As a psychologist, she explores the intricacies of the human mind, bringing depth and introspection to her work. A self-described hopeless collector, Memoli is drawn to nature's beauty and the poetry of decay, often incorporating bones, found objects, and repurposed materials into her pieces. Each piece emerges through a process of ritual and communion with the natural world, creating a profound connection to the earth and its cycles. Memoli’s work invites viewers to find unexpected beauty in imperfection, celebrating the resilience of life in all its forms. With an eye for the extraordinary in the ordinary, her pieces reflect a love of nature, storytelling, and transformation. Her photography stretches across many genre, from landscape, to abandoned, abstract and even skateboarding photography. Memoli’s work can be found at The Firefly Artists gallery in Northport, NY and at Industry Makers in Huntington, NY.
